CAHI Releases 'Americans' Health Care Declaration of Rights'
Alexandria,VA -- The health care reform debate has focused on
expanding health insurance coverage to all
Americans. But guaranteeing access to coverage
doesn't mean it will be good coverage, or that patients
will be able to see the doctor they want or receive the
care they need in a timely manner.
We believe that health care reform should embrace
the rights and benefits that Americans want and have
come to expect from their health care system. And
that these rights, enumerated in the "Americans' Health Care
Declaration of Rights," [See Video Here] must not be taken
away or damaged by any government-sponsored
health care scheme.
The Council for Affordable Health Insurance is proud
to partner with other like-minded Americans --
organizations, groups and individuals -- who believe,
as we do, that any proposed legislation should be
judged in light of the rights expressed in the
Declaration.
Let your voice join with others so that
your elected representatives know: It's your health, it's
your choice. And if your elected representatives vote to
destroy those rights... it's your vote.
