Why Support CAHI

The Council for Affordable Health Insurance (CAHI) believes that all Americans should have access to affordable health care coverage. Our mission is to promote principled, free market health care solutions through research and advocacy.

Since our formation in 1992, CAHI has become one of the most influential and respected health care organizations in the country. Because our message is not developed simply to fit the current political climate, we are consistently recognized as the voice for free market health care reform.

We are a member-driven organization and rely on the support of those with an interest in public policy and a belief that sound, market-based solutions are the answer to American’s health care system challenges.

The Council for Affordable Health Insurance is a 501(c)(6) organization, therefore federal law requires us to inform you that the portion of your donation spent on lobbying is no longer tax deductible. The Council estimates that 7% of our costs are directly related to lobbying. Therefore, your company may take 93% of your donation/dues as a business expense.
