The Public Affairs department is responsible for developing CAHI communications with local and national media, other trade associations and think tanks, and the general public. A public affairs intern will be responsible for drafting press releases and articles for CAHI’s monthly newsletters, tracking media exposure, helping to plan and implement press conferences, coordinating and implementing mass mailings and developing and designing communication materials. The intern will work primarily on public affairs projects, but could be called upon to occasionally assist other departments within the organization.
